As a CFIA-certified processor and exporter, Canukshuk Animal Science Inc (CAS) is dedicated to manufacturing premium pet food and treats in Canada. With the most advanced Clean Dehumidifying and Sterilizing technology, our products are made with authentic and healthy ingredients from Canada rather than feed grains, corn starch, and rendering processed meats.

From the Heart of the North
During the last ice age, Central North America was covered by an ice sheet between 30,000 and 10,000 years ago. As it disintegrated, melt-waters created an immense glacial lake – Lake Agassiz. its area was larger than all of the modern Great Lakes combined. As the ice continued to recede, numerous modern lakes (Lake Winnipeg, Lake Manitoba, Lake Winnipegosis, etc.) have formed in this glacial lake basin. Unique biodiversity, rich Indigenous culture, and agricultural resources were bred from the legacy of Lake Agassiz.
At Canukshuk, we produce with respect to mother nature and cultures:
- Our plant is located by the south basin of Lake Winnipeg. Energy efficiency, GHG reduction, and a 0% waste policy are emphasized in our production.

- We use food-grade meat, fruit, and vegetables sourced from CFIA-certified producers.
Pioneer in Clean Production
Canukshuk Animal Science is the first export-oriented Pet treat producer and exporter in Canada. As an environmentalist and industrial pioneer, our carbon-neutral operation targets using 100% Clean energy and adopting a 0% waste policy in our production. Every year, over 1000 tons of GHG (CO2e) are reduced in our facility by replacing natural gas with renewable energy.
